I have acted as Principal Civil Medical Officer of this Colony for a period of eighteen months during 1904 and 1905 and have already had the honour of serving on both the Legislative and the Executive Councils of Government while I have also on several occasions received the thanks of His Excelleney the Governor for special duties performed by me.
I venture to attach for your favourable consideration a letter of appreciation which I received from the staff of the Dreadnought Seamen's Hospital, Greenwich, where, with your permission, I spent some months in resident hospital work during my last leave in 1908, which enabled me to obtain by examination the Diploma of Member of the Royal College of Physicians of London-a diploma which ranks very high in the estimation of the medical profession.
I am 48 years of age and have had twenty-six years experience of medical work at home and abroad.
I have the honour to be, Sir,
Your most obedient Servant,
Francis Clark
To
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES,
